What we believe

Every building has its own story

We don't think of an old house as a problem to modernise. We think of it as something worth protecting — a building with its own history, its own way of standing up, its own materials and habits. Our job is to understand that, work with it, and hand the house on in better health than we found it.

That belief shows up in the practical choices: lime instead of cement where a wall needs to breathe; repairing original timber rather than tearing it out; insulation that warms a home without sealing it shut; and interventions that can be undone rather than forced. Traditional methods where they matter, modern building where it genuinely helps.

Who we are

Specialists, and a known quantity

We're not a general builder taking the occasional period job. Heritage and listed work is what we do. But behind the specialism sits the reassurance of an established business: Suffolk Home Renovations is family-run, has over 23 years' experience across Suffolk, is fully insured, and is reviewed by real customers on Checkatrade. Every project carries a workmanship guarantee.

That's the combination this kind of work calls for — genuine specialist knowledge, backed by a firm you can check up on and hold to account.

No pressure, ever

How we start

The relationship usually begins with a free Heritage Health Check — a specialist's honest, written view of your home's condition. There's no obligation and no sales pitch. If your home is sound, we'll tell you. If there's work worth doing, you'll already know the people you'd trust to do it.
